During this period, the government department that had responsibility for immigration published an annual package of immigration statistics.

In cooperation with Statistics Canada, the CIHS is providing this document which provides some thematic aspects of immigration flows to Canada from 1852 to 2014.

The data clearly reflects and explores the changing face of Canada. We thank the authors, Hélène Maheux and René Houle, at the Centre for Ethnocultural, Language and Immigration Statistics at Statistics Canada.
